Description
We are building a pool of interested and qualified candidates in anticipation of potential future staffing needs.
Assisting pharmacist with routine duties. Processing patient medications. Replenishing medications. Procures and distributes medication orders per Physician request, Pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established polices, procedures, and protocols accurately and timely using all equipment appropriately. Facilitates proper delivery of patient medications. Accurately processes charges/credits for all patient accounts. Accurately and timely performs automated reconciliation. Replenished Automated Medication Dispensing Systems accurately and efficiently. Follows state regulations and departmental guidelines counting replenishing and wasting controlled substances. Accurately prepares and maintains medications for all required areas of the hospital. Provides thorough training of new employees. Thoroughly completes documentation. Assists with Continuous Value Improvement.
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent. Must be able to work with controlled substances. Must demonstrate a good math aptitude. Knowledge of hospital pharmacy along with typing and computer skills. Good telephone skills are needed. Good written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate appropriately. Ability to work effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff. Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests
PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS: Certificated Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and some college with one (1) year of hospital experience preferred.
