Description
To perform all pharmaceutical duties in a manner complying with all policies and procedures of the pharmacy and hospital, and Georgia laws, rules and regulations. Serves to efficiently direct pharmacy technician workflow. Monitors patient drug-drug interactions, drug allergies, and adverse drug reactions. Serves as a professional consultant to physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals.
Qualifications
B.S. degree from a pharmacy school with current Georgia license. Good typing and computer skills. Works effectively with others possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Conducts self in a professional manner. Able to work flexible hours. Good written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate appropriately. Up to date knowledge of drug information and knowledgeable in proper I.V. admixture techniques. Ability to function as a hospital pharmacist. Ability to monitor, evaluates, and makes recommendations concerning patients’ medication therapy. Must be able to lift boxes, push carts, and walk for majority of shift worked.
